It’s that time for the week three recap! Being honest with you, there wasn’t a ton of progress made this week. We’re about to the half way point and that’s typically where I lose steam. So this week we are going to talk all things built-in’s because that’s next on the list! I have been spending hours on Pinterest searching for inspiration and have found lovely spaces.

The Base:
Our home only being 1,200 sqft, we are always looking for ways to incorporate additional storage. Having storage within the base of our built-ins was always in the plans but I wanted it to still look sleek. I love the images above because it appears that the storage space is just additional trim. While debating whether or not to build the base or purchase – I came across unfinished wall cabinets from Home Depot. Each being $80 and current lumber prices being crazy, we felt it was the easiest and most cost effective option. I won’t be adding any hardware to the cabinets to again, make it appear as though its just trim.
The Shelves:
Room for Tuesday’s formal living room served up a lot of inspiration as well. Every room in Sarah’s home is stunning – she has such an eye for creating a beautifully curated space. The current plan is to breakdown the bookshelves into a 3×3 grid, which will allow for plenty of styling space.
